10 ft Shipping Containers for Sale

Not every job needs 20 feet of container. A 10 ft unit gives you the same steel construction and lockable security in a footprint that fits beside a shop, behind a retail store, or on a jobsite where space is already spoken for. It is the size people choose when they have measured twice.

Why Choose XCaliber

Our 10 ft containers are cut and finished in-house, which matters more than it sounds. A 10′ unit that started life as a 20′ or 40′ container needs new end walls, doors, and corner castings, and how well that work is done decides whether the doors still swing true in five years. Ours do.

Use one as-is for tool and equipment storage, or have us build it out as a compact mobile office, a scale house, or a guard shack. Delivered pricing shows up as soon as you enter your ZIP code.

What a 10 ft container is good for

Storage where a 20′ will not fit

Roughly 80 square feet inside, tall enough to shelve, secure enough for tools, records, or inventory.

Easy to move later

A 10′ container can be relocated with a tilt-bed truck or a forklift with long forks, so it does not have to be a permanent decision.

10 ft container specs, delivery & site prep

A 10 ft container is the smallest standard footprint we sell. It fits where a 20′ won’t — a single parking space, the side yard of a house, a corner of a jobsite — while keeping the same corrugated steel shell, cargo doors, and lockable hardware as the bigger sizes.

Delivery & site prep for a 10 ft container

Most 10 ft units arrive on a tilt-bed trailer and are set in place off the back of the truck. Plan on about 50 ft of straight, level run for the truck to back in and slide the container off, 12 ft of clear width, and 14 ft of overhead clearance with no low branches or power lines. Tell us which way you want the doors facing when you order — it is easy to set right the first time and hard to change after.

Level, well-drained ground is enough for storage. Compacted gravel, a concrete pad, or blocks under the four corner castings keep the doors swinging true and the floor dry. For an office or climate-controlled unit, a level pad also protects the HVAC and electrical.

Popular uses for a 10 ft container

  • Backyard and jobsite tool storage
  • Pool, lawn, and equipment storage on small lots
  • Compact site offices and guard shacks
  • Ticket booths, concession stands, and event kiosks
  • Generator, pump, and utility enclosures
  • Overflow storage for retail and restaurants

Frequently Asked Questions

Are 10 ft containers just cut-down 20 ft containers?

Usually, yes. The difference is in the fabrication. Ours get new end frames, doors, and corner castings welded in our Texas shop and inspected before shipping.

In most cases. We will confirm access when you request a quote.

Price depends on condition (one-trip or used), height, door configuration, any modifications, and delivery distance. Enter your ZIP code on any product above for a delivered quote.

Level ground, compacted gravel, or concrete piers or blocks under the four corner castings are enough for most storage uses. Offices and climate-controlled units benefit from a level pad so doors swing true and the HVAC and electrical stay protected.

Yes. Roll-up doors, man doors, windows, shelving, insulation, electrical, HVAC, and full build-outs are all done in our Texas facilities. Tell your rep what the unit needs to do and we will quote the modifications with the container.

Rules vary by city, county, and HOA. Many treat a container as an accessory structure or temporary storage; some limit placement, screening, or how long it can stay. Check with your local building department before delivery so the unit lands where it can stay.
